Description Teaching Objective:
1. To learn how to use a sociological perspective to understand things that happen around us.
2. To appreciate the use of a sociological perspective to understand things that happen around us.
3. To develop the sensitivity towards a wider context of the universe of social activity through reflecting on our daily experiences.

Teaching Content:
The following topics, from a sociological perspective, will be introduced: What is Sociology? Sociology and Common Sense, Objectivity of Sociology, Social Structure and Human Behaviour, Culture and Society, Culture and Norms, Socialization, Social Interaction, Conformity and Deviance, Social Stratification, Ethnicity and Race, Religion, Politics and Government, Social Institutions, Social Change, and Methods and Theories in Sociology.
