A close reading of St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans (with a look also at the preceding Letter to the Galatians), with sustained cross-reference to the Decree of the Council of Trent on Justification and with side-looks at the greatest exegetes of the Letter to the Romans: Origen, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther, and Karl Barth.
