Description | Teaching Objective: This course aims to explore the fulfilment of God’s salvation; Eschatology is not only a discipline of systematic theology, but also a fundamental dimension of the Christian faith, and an inner dimension of theology and of life. Teaching Content: The course will study: - the biblical concept of eschatology; - how the eschatology of God was realized in the historical event of Jesus; - the already and not yet tension of eschatology; - the social dimension of eschatology: the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment and the new heaven and earth; - the personal dimension of eschatology: theology of death, heaven, hell and purgatory; - eschatological fulfilment includes personal, social and cosmic dimensions.
