Description | Teaching Objective: The course is to explore the communication and understanding between Christian faith and traditional Chinese culture in the era of globalization. Teaching Content: The course will discuss what the human spirit is from a pneumatological point of view and its communality in Christianity and Chinese culture. The course will compare mainly the Catholic tradition, supplemented by Orthodox tradition, with Confucianism and Taoism in traditional Chinese culture. The relationship between the human spirit and the Holy Spirit on the way to perfection in these four streams of thinking will be studied and analyzed. The course will be divided into four parts according to the following themes: Love, Beauty, Goodness and Truth. Pneumatology and theological anthropology will be encountered in this course..
