Description Teaching Objective:
1. To help students integrate Christologies of the universal Church and the Church in Asia.
2. To help students familiarize with the similarities as well as differences between mainstream Christologies of the universal Church and the Church in Asia, and their implications to inter-religious dialogue.

Teaching Content:
The course will explore the Christology of the Declaration Dominus Jesus, which is the Christology of the magisterium. Besides, it will also examine Karl Raher's Christology, the mainstream Christology of the contemporary Church. As regrards Asian Christologies, it will explore Statements of the Plenary Assemblies of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences, which is the "magisterium of the Church in Asia". Aloysius Pieris' Christology will also be examined as an example of mainstream Asian Christologies.

The course aims at helping students integrate Christologies of the "Magisterium and "Magisterium of the Church in Asia" with Karl Rahner's Christology. It will also compare Christologies of Karl Rahner and Aloysius Pieris, as to point out similarities as well as differences between mainstream christologies of the universal Church and the Church in Asia, which serves as the ground for critical reflection on inter-religious dialogue in Asia.
