Description Teaching Objective:
This course aims to introduce students to the theology of St. Augustine, the most influential Latin Church Father, whose writings have deeply impacted the Church and its magisterium.

Teaching Content:
Students will examine the works of Augustine in order to understand the way he interprets Scripture, his Christology, doctrine of the Trinity, theology of grace, ecclesiology and eschatology. Texts to be studied include Augustine’s autobiographical, dogmatic, exegetical and polemical writings as well as his letters and homilies.
