| Description | Teaching Objective: Building on Italian I, this course develops students’ ability to communicate in routine situations and understand simple texts on familiar matters. Students will expand their vocabulary and grammar (including past and future tenses) and reach CEFR A2 level, with particular attention to vocabulary useful for academic and religious contexts. Teaching Content: By the end of the course (building on Italian I), students should be able to: • Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (personal and family information, daily routines, studies, local geography, and simple cultural/religious topics). • Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar matters. • Describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need. • Read and understand short, simple texts on familiar everyday or study-related matters (including lightly adapted theological or ecclesial passages). • Use the present, past (passato prossimo), and simple future tenses with reasonable accuracy in everyday contexts. • Write short, simple notes, messages, and personal letters/emails. • Handle very basic social interactions (greetings, invitations, expressing likes/dislikes, asking for information). • Demonstrate a broader vocabulary range, including more terms useful for academic or religious contexts in Italian.
