| Description | Teaching Objective: In light of the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church (Lumen Gentium) of the Second Vatican Council, the main objective of this course is to examine the nature and fundamental structure of the Catholic Church, while also highlighting the distinctive institutional elements particular to Catholicism. Teaching Content: The course content is divided into seven main parts: 1. The methodology and historical development of Ecclesiology; 2. The Church in the New Testament; 3. Different biblical images and theological models of the Church; 4. The four marks of the Church (One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic); 5. The hierarchical structure of the Church – the status and ministries of priests, bishops, and the Pope; 6. The vocation and mission of the lay faithful in the Church; 7.
