Description Teaching Objective:
This course is devoted to extensively enquiring into the matters of testimony and knowledge transmission by reading The Transmission of Knowledge, a work of a recent distinguished philosopher in epistemology. While the acquisition of knowledge has been distinctively studied for ages, testimony and the importance of knowledge transmission have not been comprehensively discussed until the last few decades. The course will thus pay special attention to matters including, but not exhaustively, the flow of information, epistemic dependence, joint agency, trustworthiness, and social epistemology.

3. Social epistemology and joint agency
4. Trustworthiness as a character trait of humans
