Description | Teaching Objective: By examining the historical circumstances and issues involved in Church divisions, and the development of Ecumenism today, the course aims at heightening the students’ awareness on the importance of Ecumenical dialogue in the Church, both universally and locally, as well as promoting their interest in taking part in it. Teaching Content: A. History of Church Divisions and the Ecumenical Movement before and after Vatican II; B. Development of Ecumenical Dialogue and its fruits; C. Theology of Dialogue: Nature and purpose of Dialogue; Catholic Principles of Dialogue; Approaches and technique of Dialogue; Spiritual Dialogue; D.
