| Description | *To Be Updated Teaching Objective: The course aims to help students frame philosophical studies within the horizon of Christian experience. Teaching Content: Issues: the encounter and relationship between philosophy and Christianity; the philosophical interpretation of Scripture and the essence of Christianity; the Christian theological interpretation of the meaning and limits of philosophy; the conditions of philosophical possibility of revelation and of Christian theology and philosophy. Readings: short passages selected from the Bible and from major Christian authors (especially Augustine, Boethius, Dionysius, Anselm, Abelard, Bonaventure and Thomas, Cusa, Pascal, Kierkegaard, Newman, Blondel) or otherwise influenced by Christianity. A few significant passages (from the Magisterium of the Church, philosophers, and theologians) reflecting the contemporary debate.
