Description Teaching Objective:
By completing this course, participants will be able to:
1. Analyze the relationship between liturgy and human beings
2. Explain the meaning and essence of Catholic liturgy
3. Describe the differences between Eastern and Western liturgical traditions
4. State the development of Catholic liturgy and the characteristics of the Second Vatican Council's liturgical reform
5. Analyze the concept and theological development of Catholic sacraments
6. Explain the common elements that constitute the seven sacraments
7. Discuss the significance of sacraments in the Church and the modern world

Teaching Content:
This introductory course will lay the foundation for the entire Sacraments and Liturgy course so that the specialized courses on Sacraments and Liturgy can build on this foundation. The whole course is divided into three parts: 1. What is the sacrament? 2. The Church celebrates the sacraments. 3. What is etiquette? We will start from the concept of "celebration" in anthropology to explore the sacraments of all religions, and then delve into the unique and life-filled sacraments and liturgical celebrations of Christians. The course content includes:
1. Sacraments in all religions;
2. Jesus Christ - the sacraments of God;
3. The Church - the sacraments of Christ;
4. Christians and the sacraments in the early Church;
5. The sacraments are the presence of the risen Christ;
6. The sacraments are a path;
7. The sacraments in the history of the Church;
8. Rituals and symbols;
9. The relationship between the sacraments and the liturgy;
10. The nature of Christian worship;
11. The liturgical theology of Vatican II;
12. The liturgical year;
13. Several important stages in the life of the Church concerning the liturgy;
14. Liturgical space;
15. Indigenization of the liturgy.
