Description | Teaching Objective: This course aims to discuss the context of Christianity in today's world, the demands of today's world and how Christianity responds to them. Teaching Content: Part I: The content will include: - an analysis of the process in which people open themselves and believe in God’s revelation; - an analysis of the words and works of Jesus of Nazareth as signs of God’s revelation; - an analysis of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth as fulfillment of God’s revelation; a reflection on the credibility of the Church based on her testimony. Part II: The content will include: - an introduction to different models of revelation; - a study of revelation as written Scriptures, inspiration, canonicity, inerrancy and hermeneutics; - a study of revelation as Tradition, the mutual relationship between Scripture and Tradition as the deposit of faith; a study of revelation as pronounced by the teaching authority of the Church.
