Description Teaching Objective:
This course introduces inquiries about knowledge in Western philosophy, including its nature, scope, features, limitations, and relationship with being. It also studies how knowledge and the activities of knowing enhance the development of human wisdom.

1. Definitions and categories of knowledge
2. The main sources of knowledge
3. Meanings of knowing and truths known through the activities of knowing
4. The importance of knowing to human wisdom
5. The challenges and the contributions of scepticism
6. Doubts, cognition, beliefs, and certainty
7. Perception, memory, imagination, and conceptual knowledge
8. Knowledge of oneself and others
9. Some philosophical accounts on human understanding
10. Some contemporary studies in epistemology
