Description | Teaching Objective: This course introduces the history of Western philosophy from the Renaissance to the end of the 20th century, including the important philosophers and their thoughts. It also studies how science, technology, and major historical events affect not only the pursuit of knowledge, freedom, and justice but also the political and social structure. Teaching Content: 1. Important philosophers and their thoughts such as Descartes, Kant, and Husserl 2. Philosophical thoughts as movements 3. How science and technology change ideologies and human life 4.
