| Description | Teaching Objective: The witness of Scripture to its origin in God and to its truth; The Interpretation of the Word of God and Its Challenges. Teaching Content: This course focuses on the evolution of the interpretation of biblical inspiration since the modern era. It explores how the Church reinterprets canonical inspiration amidst the tension between reason and faith. Grounded in Holy See documents and theological reflections; the course uncovers the mysteries of revelation carried by the Word of God and the sacred authors throughout historical evolution. It also analyzes how scriptural volumes transcend time and space to permanently express the faith of cooperation between God and humanity within a pluralistic culture. The content aims to trace the universal vitality of the original text through spiritual discernment, thereby cultivating capacity for systematic self-reflection. Concurrently, from a multidimensional perspective, it guides students to appreciate the process through which sacred authors, under the specific context of their times, took up their pens to write as inspired by the breath of the Holy Spirit. The course offers an appreciation and analysis of the interplay between selected classical works and modern biblical exegesis. Referencing the documents of Vatican II and papal encyclicals, it analyzes how historical sources witness the continuous transmission of God's Holy Word within the Church's orthodox interpretation.
