Description Teaching Objective
The course aims to help students master Karl Rahner’s transcendental method and theological anthropology. On this basis, students will explore in depth the core ideas of Rahner’s transcendental Christology and apply it to offer a theologically meaningful interpretation of the soteriology of the Second Vatican Council, thereby providing a solid theological foundation for it.

1. The historical background and content of Rahner’s transcendental philosophical method
2. Rahner’s theological anthropology
3. Rahner’s transcendental Christology
4. Applying Rahner’s transcendental Christology to provide theological interpretations of Vatican II’s soteriology and to establish its theological foundation
