| Description | Interreligious Dialogue from a Theological Perspective in an Asian Context Teaching Objective: a) To approach dialogue from a theological and missiological perspective; b) To become aware of some issues pertinent to interreligious dialogue in Asia; c) To develop among students a commitment to interreligious dialogue as an integral part of the call of the Church to mission and evangelization in Asia. Teaching Content: • The teaching of the Church from the Second Vatican Council to the present. • The foundations of dialogue: categories and questions for theological reflection. • Dialogue, Mission, and Christian Proclamation. • Developments, challenges, and perspectives of dialogue. • The spirituality of interreligious dialogue as a call for individuals and for communities to relate purposefully with believers of other religious traditions.
