Description | Part A Pentateuch Lecturer: LO, William Teaching Objective: As the study of the Bible is the soul of theology, this course will introduce the students to a scientific study of the Pentateuch so that they may be acquainted with the literary structure and main themes of these books and with the methods of exegesis. Teaching Content: 1. A general introduction to the Pentateuch 2. Introduction to exegetical methods 3. Exegesis of selected texts taken from these 5 books Teaching Mode: Lecture Assessment Mode: Oral Examination, Written Paper Part B Historical Books Lecturer: HUI, Lisa Teaching Objective: To introduce the students to different exegetical methods, by means of which the students will explore the meaning of the texts and have a better understanding of the theology of the Historical Books. Content: 1. A general introduction to the Historical Books 2. Introduction to exegetical methods 3.
