Description | Teaching Objective: The course gives the knowledge of the basic principles on the ethics of human physical life. It treats the present day medical ethics in the light of the Christian faith. This course emphasizes on the study of the moral problems that concern the beginning of life and during the process of life. Teaching Content: Ethical models and principles in making moral judgments in medicine, Christian view of bodily life, and ethical reflections of the following biomedical issues: Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Gender Selection, Sterilization, Stem Cell, Genetic Engineering, Abortion, Organ Transplant, AIDS, Gender Dysphoria etc. Teaching Mode: Lecture and Personal Reading Assessment Mode: Written & Presentation |
