| Description | Teaching Objective: The course aims to provide students with a solid foundation in Italian, enabling them to understand and use basic everyday expressions and simple phrases. By the end of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves, interact in very simple conversations on familiar topics, and understand short basic texts, reaching CEFR A1 level. Teaching Content: By the end of the course, students should be able to: • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. • Introduce themselves and others and ask/answer simple questions about personal background (name, origin, studies, family). • Interact in a simple way provided the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. • Understand short, simple written texts (signs, notices, very basic descriptions, short adapted paragraphs). • Recognise and use the present tense of common regular and irregular verbs, basic articles, nouns, and adjectives. • Write simple phrases and sentences about themselves and their immediate environment. • Demonstrate basic listening comprehension of slow, clear speech on familiar topics. • Show familiarity with a small set of high-frequency vocabulary, including some basic terms related to Church, religion, and Italian culture.
