Description Teaching Objective:
A comprehensive introduction to the liturgical studies focusing on the meaning of liturgy and its history, liturgical reform of the II Vatican Council with some special focus on inculturation.

Teaching Content:
1. Discussion on the term “liturgy” (leitourgia) with its meaning prior to the Council
2. Ancient Liturgical documents of the Roman Rite
3. History of the Roman liturgy from the first century to Vatican II
4. Reform of the liturgy and its Constitution Sacrosanctum concilium
5. Liturgy and inculturation
