Description Teaching Objective:
To explore the inculturation attempt taken by Aloysius Pieris in Sri Lanka and to understand the mission of the Church in face of poverty and other world religions in Asian context.

Teaching Content:
In light of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences Documents, this course will first study the changing faces of Asia and its implications in the mission of the Church, then will explore the inculturation attempt of Aloysius Pieris. Special attention will be given to his theological reflection on poverty and religious dialogue.
