Description Teaching Objective:
Through a review on the major Western political ideas, this course aims at building the strength to assess and criticize these major political thoughts.

Teaching Content:
This course will have three focuses: 1. studying the theoretical foundation and arguments of those critical texts of political philosophy; 2. introducing the role of Christianity in the development of Western political philosophy, with a special attention to the issue of Church-state relations; 3. introducing contemporary political concepts, such as, governance, neoliberalism, cosmopolitanism, and nonmajoritarianism.
