Description Teaching Objective:
This course aims to familiarize students with the classical arguments for and against the existence of God in Western philosophy. It will investigate the debate from the viewpoint of contemporary philosophy and explore the different ways of approaching the question of God today.

Teaching Content:
St. Anselm’s ontological argument, St. Thomas’ five ways, Kant’s critique of the classical proofs of God’s existence. Hans Küng’s and Karl Rahner’s positions, the essence of God, the problem of evil.
